1.0 Approval of Minutes

1.1 Minutes from January meeting were motioned for approval by DF, BM seconds. Minutes were approved.

2003 Budget

BH stated that the overall financial status of RNC is solid.

BH stated that the January invoices exceeded forecast due to historical budgeting procedure.

BH is working with DW and The Building Group to revise and finalize budget to reflect seasonal trends.

Floor opened to questions. Rotunno 212 questions if there is adequate money for maintenance; believes Board should increase maintenance. General maintenance decreased because we are trying to get money back from Developer for incorrect charges when they were the management company. BH motioned for 2003 Budget approval; DF seconded. Motion passed.

Door Systems

Door Systems to come out and check the Huron door which keeps breaking.

DS describes that the façade study is still being finalized.

Decorating Committee

Decorating Committee Geoffrey Shives is still waiting for estimates. We should have figures ready by the end of January. Cost is big factor.

Website

Rick said server was moved. Any items the Board wants now, we can e-mail it to Geoffrey Shives and it will be placed on the site.

DF moves to spend $500 to join the River North Residents Association. BH seconds the motion. Motion passed.

DS signed petition on behalf of RNC with 12 other Association presidents to not allow 4:00 AM liquor licenses west of Orleans Street.

DS asked DW to get registrar here to encourage residents to vote in the Alderman election.

DW instructed to tell guards that all dogs must be kept on a leash.

DW instructed to tell guards to move their cars from the back of building lot.

DW instructed to have Wayne Shauer repair and paint the wall on 7th floor Huron.

DW instructed to get vibrator detector pricing based on the building shaking due to the construction at 2 River Place.

Tom Litka (structural engineer) to get cover letter regarding the balcony problems.

February 11 - DS has meeting with Alderman.

DW to instruct Elite to find a replacement for Roman immediately.
